Walmart PS5 stock left after 4 hectic release day replenishments

[ad_1]

Update: Walmart’s PS5 stock is now completely gone after the retailer offered four different restockings on November 12, the day the console was released. While most stores restocked at midnight ET on launch day, Walmart offered four different time slots throughout the day on Thursdays: 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET. Each sold out in minutes. Being on the page and refreshing when it was time to reload resulted in site crashes, slow loading, and the inability to add the console to your cart when the button appeared. If you’ve managed to secure a PS5 during any of these four restockings, congratulations! Otherwise, you are not alone and we feel your pain.

If you’re still looking to buy a PS5, your next best bet will be during Black Friday 2020. Walmart plans to restock the console online then, and GameStop stores will have a minimum of two PS5 units per location. We expect other stores will restock the PS5 during Black Friday as well. We’ll continue to track availability in our PS5 buying guide.

In the two months since the PS5 first pre-ordered, it has been nearly impossible to find the console in stock, but if you’re looking to purchase the PS5 on launch day, there’s still a chance you’ll can do it at Walmart. The retailer has shared concrete details on when the PS5 will be available on Walmart.com today (November 12), although as of today, there is only one restocking time left for the PS5.

The PS5 and PS5 digital editions will be available for purchase on Walmart.com later today at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, so set your alarm now. Sadly, today’s first three restockings have come and gone as soon as they appeared, with the PS5 selling out in minutes. Being on the page and refreshing when it was time to reload resulted in site crashes, slow loading, and the inability to add the console to your cart when the button appeared. That doesn’t bode well for the 9 p.m. ET replenishment, but it’s worth it if you haven’t been able to secure the console so far. We suggest that you make sure your Walmart account and payment information is up to date beforehand to facilitate payment, but a good dose of luck is also required.

Walmart also had the Xbox Series X / S available for purchase online on Tuesday, but only one time slot was available and (unsurprisingly) the stock ran out quickly.

If you miss the launch day replenishment for either console, the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S will be available for purchase at GameStop stores during Black Friday, although stock is extremely limited. .

We’re tracking availability for both consoles in our PS5 buying guide and our Xbox Series X buying guide, so stay tuned. You can also follow us on Twitter @GameSpotDeals for the latest updates. In the meantime, check out our PS5 and Xbox Series X review for more details and impressions.
