While most of the guests were happy to follow Disney’s COVID-19 security protocol, some were more confrontational. A guest protested his arrest after skipping mandatory temperature control and refusing to comply with security.
Kelly Sills, 47, was visiting Walt Disney World from Louisiana on February 13 when he refused to submit to the temperature check at Disney Springs. He evaded the temperature checkpoint and was confronted outside the boathouse.
After being asked to cooperate with the temperature control or to leave the property, Sills refused and was subsequently arrested. He claimed that after spending $ 15,000 on vacation he was entitled to stay on the property.
“I paid $ 15,000. You can’t bypass me for paying $ 15,000, ”Sills said.
Sills was also inducted into all Disney properties following the incident.
