Walt Disney World has updated its face coverage policy to include guidelines for clear masks. Read the updated policy below:
Face coverings can have a built-in clear plastic panel to help see the user’s mouth. These face coverings shall be a fabric face covering having a strong plastic panel containing no openings which is attached to the fabric on all sides using tight knit seams. They must also meet all of the face coverage requirements described for regular face masks.
As face masks have been produced more widely, transparent face masks have grown in popularity, especially for those who are hard of hearing and may need to read lips. Clear masks are different from a plastic face shield, which customers can only wear as long as they are also wearing a mask.
Walt Disney World has also just updated its policy to specify that anyone who has received a COVID-19 vaccine must always wear a face mask.
