In addition to the instruments, the auction will also include amplifiers, speakers and recording equipment.

"Julian"s Auctions is pleased to offer this exceptional collection of Walter Becker-owned musical instruments and devices that she cherishes ", said Darren Julien, CEO and President of Julien 's Auctions, in a statement. This extensive and varied collection reflects all these characteristics and more – this has helped make Walter Becker one of the most talented and respected musicians and sonic connoisseurs of his generation. "

Becker died on September 3, 2017 from a cancer of the esophagus. Donald Fagen, who was the only group head of Steely Dan, wrote in tribute to his late collaborator and group mate: "Walter Becker was my friend, my writing partner and my classmate since we we were met at Bard College like a whip, an excellent guitarist and a great composer. He was cynical about human nature, including his own, and hysterically funny.
