A collection of music material owned by Walter Becker, the late co-founder, guitarist and co-author of Steely Dan, will be on sale via Julien's Auctions during a two-day event on October 18 and 19. The auction includes Becker's 1957 Fender Duo-Sonic guitar, shown in photographs of Steely Dan's 1977 album cover. Becker died on September 3, 2017 from a cancer of the esophagus.
