WandaVision director Matt Shakman on his 6-hour Marvel series

While you may not know Matt Shakman’s name, you have certainly seen his work. He has directed episodes of numerous television shows over the past few years such as The iron Throne, It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, and The good woman, he was actually a child actor appearing in shows like Different traits, Just the ten of us, and many other hits from the 80s.

After paying his dues for many years behind the camera, Marvel got him to direct every episode of WandaVision. Based on his work after seeing the first three episodes, I’m confident he was the right fit for the job and can’t wait to see the rest of the series.

Shortly after seeing the episodes, I was able to speak with Shakman. He spoke about how he worked with Marvel, the impact of the extended COVID shutdown on the series, if they are done with all nine episodes, how long the entire series will last six hours, s ‘they had a lot of deleted scenes, how there’s a lot to find out as and when they’ve talked about doing a second season of WandaVision, the ads in the episode, and more. Moreover, while he was linked to the leadership of the Cambridge Analytica film at AGBO, he explains why he is no longer attached.

As most of you know from the trailers, WandaVision takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, focusing on Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Olson) and Vision (Paul Bettany). I got to see the first three episodes and they all take place in an alternate version of a classic sitcom. The first episode begins in the 1950s and everyone gradually pulls back the curtain on what is really going on. You have certainly never seen anything like it WandaVision and can’t wait to see where it all goes. The series is also featured Kathryn hahn, Kat dennings, Teyonah Parris, and Randall Park.
