Wanda has created her own paradise in WandaVision, and a new promo video reveals that she and Vision are ready to fight to keep it.

Wanda Maximoff turned the town of Westview into her personal paradise WandaVision, and a new promotional video for the series shows that she and Vision will do whatever it takes to keep this going.

A one-minute featurette released by Marvel Entertainment shows past and future clips from the series interspersed with commentary from the cast and crew. The promo plays on the idea that there may be more to Westview than anyone else has seen.

“It was really great fun playing all these different decades WandaVisionSays Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda on the show.

“And then, of course, everything breaks down and becomes an MCU version of the real world,” adds Paul Bettany, who plays Vision.

The series began as an apparent homage to classic American television comedies like The Dick Van Dyke Show and I love lucy. As the show progressed, however, it revealed that the sitcom’s evolving facade was a form of reality manipulation created by Wanda herself, and that the city and its people are under Wanda’s control. . Wanda, however, isn’t necessarily ready to admit it.

“I can’t believe how this continues to unfold and unfold in a way that still shocks and excites me,” says Kathryn Hahn, who plays Wanda and Vision’s neighbor Agnes. In the most recent episode “On a Very Special Episode …”, Agnes seems to indirectly recognize Wanda’s control over Westview.

“Every day is something different,” says director Matt Shakman. “It’s high-tech Marvel with helicopters flying, and the next day is a perfect recreation of a 1950s sitcom. Some days it’s both.”

In the final episode, Acting SWORD Director Tyler Hayward, played by Josh Stamberg, and Agent Monica Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris, confront Wanda outside the protective “Hex” she has erected around the city. Wanda issues a stern warning: be left alone.

This probably won’t happen, as towards the end of the video, a clip from an upcoming episode has Wanda proclaiming, “This is our home.”

“So let’s fight for this,” Vision replies.

“I think it’s going to be really satisfying for people when they realize what’s at the heart of this show,” concludes Bettany.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes airing Fridays on Disney +.
