WandaVision Finale has mid-credits and post-credits scenes

WandaVision’s season finale, Episode 9, has both mid-credits and post-credits scenes – make sure you don’t turn off too soon. The finale marks the first and only time the series has included a second scene after the credits roll – something very familiar to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.

As is almost always the case, these credit streaks herald the future of the MCU. If you haven’t looked yet, look no further – but if you want to know what was inside, we’ll break it down below.

Full spoilers follow for WandaVision Episode 9!The mid-credits scene centers on Monica Rambeau, who has shown more of her newly acquired powers throughout most of the series. After talking to Jimmy Woo and asking after Darcy, Monica was told to go to the Westview Theater by an unknown agent. After arriving and seeing no one else, the agent is revealed to be a Skrull and explains that “an old friend of [Monica’s mother]”would like to meet Monica – asked where, she points up.

This clearly references Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who we last saw in the post-credits scene from Spider-Ma: Far From Home (where he also used Agents Skrull to keep in touch with him). Peter Parker), aboard what appeared to be a space station. It looks like Monica will be joining Fury in some capacity, likely as part of the Secret Invasion series, in which Fury and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) investigate a cult of Skrulls who have infiltrated the highest levels of authority in the universe. Marvel cinematic. .The post-credits scene is a little less easy to interpret. We see that Wanda has moved to a secluded cabin in the mountains, apparently living a simple life on her own. However, one final reveal shows what appears to be an astral projection of Scarlet Witch searching for the Darkhold (the Agnes magic book mentioned in the finale). At the end of the scene, we hear Billy and Tommy asking for help.

With Billy and Tommy seemingly missing, as well as Wanda’s memory-created version of Vision, at the end of the series, this seems to indicate that parts of her sons are still alive somewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Or should it be Multiverse? We know Scarlet Witch will be a part of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the showing of her reading is a callback to scenes from the original Doctor Strange movie, in which Stephen Strange learned magic while his body slept.

Perhaps Wanda’s interest in Strange will be learning how to switch between realities in search of her children. It could also be a connection to the widely held theory that Mephisto will be part of the MCU in its final phase. While the Demon Lord wasn’t revealed to be WandaVision’s Big Bad, we did see what might be a reference to him in the Loki series trailer. Since Mephisto has a fondness for collecting souls, Billy and Tommy may be part of his collection – which would explain why they are also begging for help.

But before we get to all From the above, we still have the old-fashioned good action from The Falcon and Winter Soldier coming up, with the series starting on Disney + on March 19.
