The third episode of WandaVision pays homage to The Brady Bunch in decoration and fashion, but also with the appearance of a very important object.

As WandaVision emerged from a black and white decor inspired by The Dick Van Dyke Show and Nice to meet you in a world defined by avocado green, scorched sienna, and teak, it didn’t take a student of classic sitcoms to recognize the influence of The Brady Bunch on Episode Three: If the color palette and questionable fashion choices weren’t enough to deliver, then the iconic staircase was. However, the Marvel Studios series tribute to this story of a charming lady goes bit Deeper.
Appropriately titled “Now in Color,” the episode focuses on the suddenly Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and now quickly progresses, pregnancy as she and Vision (Paul Bettany) grapple with impending birth … or births. As Wanda prepares the nursery and tries to hide the growing baby bump with coats, a bowl of fruit and, finally, a vase (a funny nod to the ridiculous lengths of the TV shows will disguise the actual pregnancy of an actor), moaning The vision stumbles into the classic “future father” mode, which, naturally, involves practicing how to give a newborn baby a diaper.
To do this, he uses a child’s doll, with which he has formed “an understanding”, while Wanda times his efforts. Vision’s super speed is the obvious visual gag, but it’s not only all doll. It’s Kitty Karry-All, Cindy Brady’s beloved doll (or at least a close facsimile).
Immortalized in The Brady Bunch Season 1 episode “Kitty Karry-All Is Missing”, the doll disappears, leading Cindy to blame Bobby, who has made no secret that he doesn’t like Kitty because of her presence. sort of affects his ability to play kazoo. And, because it is The Brady BunchThe tensions quickly escalate, resulting in increased riffs among the six children and, yes, even a sham trial for Bobby. But when Bobby’s kazoo disappears, Cindy becomes the accused. (Spoiler: The real culprit was the family dog, Tiger.)
The toy company Remco released in 1969 a 19-inch tall Kitty Karry-All doll whose point of sale, apart from the Brady Bunch connection, apparently was the multiple pockets sewn into her dress. (The colorful packaging read, “She has a bunch of pockets! A pocket with a comb … A pocket with a Hankie … A pocket with a tampon and pencil … A pocket with a flower … And a With Beads. “) However, Vision only needed Kitty as a replacement.
But maybe he should have bought of them.
