Kat Dennings reveals another project to Marvel Studios that isn’t WandaVision, seeming to allude to his return to Marvel what if …? animated series. In WandaVision, the first original Marvel Studios series now airing on Disney +, Dr. Darcy Lewis (Dennings) returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time since 2013 Thor: The Dark World. Now an accomplished astrophysicist, Darcy teams up with SWORD Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and FBI Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) to investigate the “Hex” anomaly in Westview, New Jersey, where the ex- Avenger Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) airs reality-bending sitcom WandaVision. Darcy’s next mission? It’s classified.
“There are things I did for Marvel that are coming out that aren’t [WandaVision]. But I probably can’t say, “Dennings said Additional. “We’re just going to stop there.”
The 2 broken girls star previously said that she “probably wasn’t meeting” with Thor co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman in the film directed by Taika Waititi Thor: love and thunder, where Portman’s Jane Foster wields the power of the mighty Thor.
“I didn’t get a call so I kinda doubt it since they’re filming it right now,” Dennings said. IGN asked about a Thor 4 role. “Then probably not. But whatever Marvel asks me, the answer is always yes.”
Hemsworth and Portman are both among the previously announced Marvel stars voicing What if…?, Marvel Studios’ first animated series exploring ‘what if’ storylines throughout the MCU of 23 films. Thor Franchise stars Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Waititi (Korg) are also voicing their characters in the AC series showrunner Bradley said to be filled with surprise cameos.
“I can say that there are more than a few surprising MCU cameos,” Bradley tweeted last month, “and characters can appear and appear in more than one episode!”
Marvel’s 10-episode first season What if…? premieres this summer on Disney +. Also starring Tessa Thompson, MCU newcomer Christian Bale and the cast of guardians of the galaxy, the Hemsworth and Portman – featuring Thor: love and thunder opens in theaters on May 6, 2022.
With Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings and Randall Park, new episodes of Marvel WandaVision premieres Fridays on Disney +.
