WandaVision’s Paul Bettany calls his favorite scene a “big surprise”

Vision actor Paul Bettany says his favorite scene from WandaVision is a “big surprise” that will only be revealed in future episodes of the Marvel Studios series. When Bettany first hinted at the surprise actor WandaVision, he said Nerds black girl that his performance as a Vision synthezoid mixes “a bit of Dick Van Dyke in, a bit of Bryan Cranston, a bit of Hugh Laurie,” referencing the stars of past shows channeled through the Marvel Studios series.

WandaVision Director Matt Shakman and Marvel Studios Director Kevin Feige consulted Van Dyke for the series premiere, which was filmed in front of a live studio audience to pay tribute to The Dick Van Dyke Show.

“We had to give him the explanation, and he didn’t seem to have too much control over the MCU. It was great,” Shakman said previously. He said: “It’s amazing!” It was so sweet to see Kevin realize and Dick realized what they were talking about. It was really fun.”

When asked if Van Dyke could be the secret actor cameo, Shakman replied with a laugh, “I couldn’t say it. I couldn’t say it!”
