This weekend, TennoCon, the annual event of Warframe fans, was, and as tradition dictates, Digital Extremes has presented many updates for its free ninja game. Matthew was there and has already written his impressions on Warframe Empyrean, which adds combat to the spaceship at the game, but there have been other announcements, revelations and releases. Among them: a new version of Warframe Prime, a trailer for the second season of the free equivalent of Battle Pass of the game called Nightwave, a cinematic trailer of the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane and many other things again.
All trailers are below and I will try to explain the meaning of these proper names.

Warframe Empyrean: battles of multi-crew spaceships
Warframe began its career as a relatively simple third-person cooperative shooter with a complex progression system. Since then, its developers have regularly updated the game, including with major new features such as open areas. The big news that comes next is battles spaceships. A function of Digital Extremes, called Squad Link, allows you to call support from other groups of players during their own session. The example given to TennoCon is the configuration of Endor's Battle of Return Of The Jedi: a group of players fights in a space battle in orbit against a ship protected by a shield, whose power source is on the planet and can be disabled by this other group of players. I have not seen any creatures resembling Ewok however, it's more than a shame.

There is no release date for Empyrean yet.
Wukong Prime released
The last bonus of the game is now out. The latest is the Wukong Prime, a "trickster".
Warframes are the combinations that players wear in the game and essentially function as character classes, while "Prime" is just an in-fiction term for a certain technology. But having access to it is not cheap: you must either spend real money in platinum, or you must create it in game using plans and currencies that are rarely abandoned. Access to the Wukong Prime, next to a few others, will cost you £ 52.49. That's more than what you'll find on my bank account, but there are many cheaper Warframes for new players and the game would be generous overall.

Nightwave: Series 2 – The Emissary
The same update also includes the launch of Nightwave's second series, The Emissary.
Nightwave is a set of daily and weekly challenges, unlocked over time, allowing players to earn specific rewards – event-specific items, cosmetics, upgrades – by completing missions. It's called Nightwave because it's the name of a pirate radio broadcast around the world and hosted by Nora Night, who speaks over the trailer above. Series 2 will last 10 weeks and the resources you collect (but not the items) are reset at the end of the series.
The paradox Duviri: a new open space
Then there was a cinematic trailer for the next open area of the game, called The Duviri Paradox.
Warframe was originally almost entirely placed in corridors, but it introduced areas of the world opened a few years ago. This is the third one, it introduces a new enemy faction, and it does other things that I do not understand that are apparently spoilers and so I will not repeat here. The announcement was just that this area was "now in development", so there is no suggested release date yet.
The cinematographic quest of New War
The next big series of Warframe quests is The New War, which was announced for the first time at TennoCon last year and this year has a cinematic luxury trailer. Its release is scheduled for Christmas.
Want a new cinematic opening
Finally, Digital Extremes showed a new cinematic intro trailer for the game, directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Trachtenberg had previously directed the movie Cloverfield Lane 10 and some episodes of Black Mirror. He is currently in contract to direct the adaptation of the movie Uncharted. The cutscene lasts six minutes and is partly used to define the game's history and character classes, and partly to create an ambitious announcement aimed at attracting new players.
