Nintendo fans who weren’t playing Super Smash Bros. were probably a little confused to see Wario climbing the Twitter trend charts and other social media platforms over the past day, but those inside were scrambling to see whether the harmful fighter had essentially been removed from the game or not.
The version 11.0.0 update for Smash Ultimate was scrapped last night with the release of Pyra and Mythra, where opinions quickly began to grow that Wario likely had his first level status revoked due to the nerves he was having. ‘he had been hit in the patch.

While the minigame master has managed to remain among the best characters in Smash Ultimate for most of the game’s life so far, toning down just two of his key options appears to have caused his castle to collapse. cards by way of flatulence – but not everyone agrees on this.
The Up Tilt combo in Wario Waft has won the character of so many actions, games, and sets over the past couple of years, but the iconic duo are just dust in the wind now.

Wario’s big Heavenly Hands saw their active frames reduced from 11 frames to just 7, while his half and full Wafts saw 3 additional boot frames inserted for use in a much more stringent, if not impossible, chain in cases. .
Those two / three changes were apparently enough to cause one of Wario’s best players to immediately leave the biker for greener pastures, although another thinks the reaction may be a bit over the top.
Now I have absolutely no reason to touch Wario again

Former EVO finalist, TSM | Tweek, thinks Wario was hit the most in the new update and tweeted that he no longer had any reason to choose the character over Diddy Kong and Sephiroth.
He previously had the still hungry fighter at the bottom of level S after Steve from Minecraft was added to the game.
While Solary | Glutons joked that he would quit Smash because he would never win with Wario again, the top French player said after testing him live that he can always stay in the top echelon.

“If Wario was like this from day one, I think he would be great,” Glutonny said in his first post-patch stream. “But now that he’s changed, it’s going to take a while to get used to.”
He admits the extra frames will make Wario much more difficult to use online, but the fact that his air and neutral tech combos / pursuits are still ongoing means he continues to have solid options in his arsenal.
It will likely take weeks or months to really see how Wario fares now as a Smash fighter, but the internet was certainly ready to see him get hit by the nerf bat.
They might just be celebrating too soon.
