Warren aims Pence: he's not an "honest man"

"I'm sorry, I've followed Pence's story about LGBTQ Americans and I do not think it's a decent position," said Warren, according to Iowa Starting Line, "I do not agree."

Biden made the comments in reference to Pence at a global leadership forum held Thursday at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The remark quickly gave rise to negative reactions. Cynthia Nixon (D), an actress and former governor candidate in New York, asked Biden to "think about how this falls on the ears of our community."

Biden, who is considering a run for president in 2020, later said there was "nothing decent about anti-LGBTQ rights, and that includes the vice president."

Pence, who has been governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017, has already been subject to criticism from the LGBTQ community about the legislation that he has supported. In 2015, he signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a bill that some considered anti-LGBTQ.
