Warriors 2020-21 schedule: dates, start times, NBA opponents in second half

The Warriors’ playoff push begins in earnest on March 11.

That’s when Golden State will enter the second half of the season, the NBA announced on Wednesday, playing against the LA Clippers at Staples Center. It’s the first of 36 games the Warriors will play as they try to solidify themselves as a contender for the Western Conference.

Here is the Warriors’ full schedule for the second half of the regular season.

The Warriors will get their first glimpse of the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia 76ers on March 23 at the Chase Center, after not playing against each other in the first half of the regular season. Golden State also hasn’t played against the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans, and they will face each other three times with each potential opponent in the NBA playoffs.

Three games each against the Houston Rockets (14th in the Western Conference) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (13th in the West), plus two against the Washington Wizards (13th in the Eastern Conference) and a pair against the Atlanta Hawks (11th East) offer plenty of opportunities for the Warriors to improve their win-lose record, which could prove vital in the crowded Western Conference.

The Warriors will conclude the second half of the regular season on May 16 with the Grizzlies. By then, we’ll surely know if Golden State’s playoff drought has continued for another year.

The NBA play-in tournament for the No.7-10 seed is May 18-21, and the 2021 playoffs begin on May 22.
