Warriors forward Draymond Green was sent off late in the first half of Thursday night’s game against the Knicks.

With 1:04 left in the second quarter and Golden State behind 60-55, Green, 30, appeared to scream at center James Wiseman when he was penalized for a technical foul. It was his second of the game, which resulted in his immediate ejection.

As Green walked toward the sideline, Warriors coaches disputed the call, trying to point out that Green had spoken to Wiseman – not a referee.

With Green now out, Golden State needs to demonstrate defensive intensity, playing ability and direction on the pitch. In 17 minutes before being thrown, Green had three points and eight assists.

At halftime, the Warriors followed the Knicks, 63-57.
