Eight years after starting his NBA journey with the Golden State Warriors, Kent Bazemore is coming home. Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported on Sunday morning that Bazemore had accepted a one-year contract to return to the Warriors, after responding to offers from many teams.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Bazemore’s deal is $ 2.3 million.

After remaining undrafted, Bazemore played his first year with the Warriors in 2012-13 and half of the following season before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. While he was strictly a back-bench option with Golden State, he quickly fell in love with Dub Nation with his infectious energy and All-Star-level bench celebrations.
He was apparently adored by everyone in the organization and formed a close friendship with Steph Curry. During his many years away from the Warriors, he always received a warm ovation upon his return to Oracle Arena and Chase Center.
Despite a small role in Golden State, Bazemore carved out a great career in the NBA and earned a big contract and a starting role on the Atlanta Hawks for half a decade. He parted ways last year between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Sacramento Kings, and averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 34.4% beyond the arc.
He’s a very strong wing defender, scoring exceptional scores in advanced metrics at this end of the pitch, and he can defend multiple positions. He will likely be the first wing of the bench, supporting Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr., and providing spacing, transition attack and solid defense.
