The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 download is out now – and that’s a big deal.

Here are the download sizes:

  • PlayStation 5: 17 GB
  • PlayStation 4: 17 GB
  • Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S: 17.9 GB
  • Xbox One: 17.9 GB
  • PC: 16.9 GB (Warzone only), 20.8 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)

When I started the download on my PS5 this morning, I was warned that over 100GB of free space was needed before I could download the 17GB update, forcing me to delete the games installed on my Hard disk.

After removing some games, Modern Warfare 17GB download started.

It’s really annoying having to find so much space for a 17GB download, especially since there’s currently no way to move PS5 games out of the SSD.

Storage is an issue that Activision fixed overnight, warning that those with a standard PS4 with a default 500GB hard drive (that’s me!) May need to make room if they have them. Full versions of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War with all modes and packs installed.

This means that for the first time, Activision warns that the three games installed at maximum and up to date with season two will no longer fit a standard PS4.

“If you have both games installed and have kept abreast of updates, you may need to remove unused game content to have a successful download and installation of the Warzone patch tonight,” Activision said. .

You can uninstall parts of Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare to save space, but it’s a defining moment that shows how important Call of Duty’s install footprints have become.
