UPDATE 6:40 p.m.: Following the discovery – and subsequent abuse – of an invisibility issue in Call of Duty: Warzone’s new Armored Royale mode, developer Raven Software has announced that it will remove the mode from rotation while he was investigating the problem.

There’s no indication of the return of Armored Royale just yet, but it’s probably worth keeping an eye out for. Raven’s Twitter Feed, where the ad first broke, for additional updates.

ORIGINAL STORY 3:55 p.m .: It’s a one step forward and two step back case for the exploits of Call of Duty: Warzone, with players now abusing an invisibility issue to win.

This issue, first reported in December 2020 but apparently exacerbated by last week’s Warzone update, comes just after developer Raven Software’s fix for the annoying infinite stimulation issue, which has been plaguing months of the past.

The invisibility issue appears to be limited to Armored Royale mode, which was added to Warzone on February 5 as part of the game’s weekly playlist update.

Armored Royale mode is unique in that it offers teams of players a cargo truck equipped with heavy-duty armor, a custom mobile shopping station for vehicle upgrades, and most importantly, an integrated turret.

The invisibility issue that plagued Warzone in December 2020 revolved around the new helicopter minigun, and it is believed that this new issue could be part of a similar bug. Raven ended up temporarily removing the Attack Helicopter from both Warzone maps while working on a fix.

I was contacted by a series of frustrated Warzone players over the weekend who had run into this invisibility issue. In the video below, from Twitch streamer Yoda0103, a game of Armored Royale ended with nine unseen players spread across five teams.

Players are also reporting the issue on the Warzone subreddit:

Really Activision ?! How is the invisibility issue back in the game with so many other exploits ?? by r / CODWarzone

The hope is that Raven will fix this one ASAP, although removing the cargo truck from Armored Royale would ruin the mode. Raven may be able to fully pull the mode while he works on a fix.

This isn’t the only invisibility bug in Warzone at the moment. The Grinch Forest Spirit skin currently has a bug that makes the model invisible at certain distances (only their head and weapon are visible). Raven is working on sorting it out.

Warzone does the trick for Activision, but the bug and glitch period is relatively difficult at the moment, as Activision struggles to overturn its reputation as a cheated game.
