Warzone players want all Cold War weapons removed from the game

Call of Duty: Warzone came to a head when Activision introduced all of the Black Ops Cold War weapons into the game. Now players are asking the game developer to reverse this recent change.

Since the introduction of Cold War weapons in Warzone, gamers believe the game has only gotten worse. There have been new bugs, mastered weapon metas, and broken attachments discovered every day.

It’s clear that the implementation of the Cold War went smoothly, however, some fans don’t want it fixed. Instead, a new petition calls on Activision and Raven Software to completely remove Cold War weapons.

Right now, the best gun in Warzone is a Cold War weapon, which means reversing the implementation would completely change the meta. Now that the pros at Warzone have confirmed that the DMR 14 nerf has hit the gun hard, a new Cold War weapon has taken its place.

Remove Cold War Weapons from Warzone?

In a popular new post on the Warzone subreddit, players express their distaste for the recent update by asking the developers to remove Cold War weapons from the battle royale.

According to the article, the best way to “make Warzone even more awesome” would be to abrogate and replace the integration of the Cold War. As unrealistic as this update may be, we understand why the post-maker holds this opinion.

While the weapon was finally in the right place now, the overkill DMR 14 was ruining Warzone for a long time. Additionally, Warzone became Pay to Win with the addition of this Cold War plan.

Now, many Warzone players want the game to come back as they remember it. And instead of giving the devs more time to mend their mess, fans are clamoring for a full 180.

However, not all gamers share this passionate opinion. A Reddit commentator expresses his own thoughts on the matter:

“I don’t understand that logic. It’s not the integration that’s the problem, it’s the fact that they did it wrong. Integrate all the new weapons well and we would have totally different conversations.”

We imagine it is highly unlikely that Warzone will return to containing only Modern Warfare weapons. However, it’s possible that the leaked new map of Warzone will only contain Cold War weapons.

If that’s the case, there’s a chance the developer will free Verdansk from the complex meta.
