Warzone Season 6 brings some of the biggest map changes we’ve ever seen in Verdansk with new POIs added and old familiar locations torn apart. Here’s a look at each map change in the latest patch.
With War Zone Season 6 now upon us, Verdansk has just received what could be his last changes. With Vanguard fast approaching, we only have a few weeks left before the new pacific map completely replaces Verdansk.
As a result, the Season 6 update introduced a handful of significant changes to literally turn our last stretch upside down with the original map.
From new POIs to ripped classic locations, here’s everything you need to know before you jump into the new season.
Destroyed city center and stadium in Warzone Season 6
The first thing you will notice as you hover in the sky over Verdansk is that two POIs have been gutted. Both the city center and the stadium were hit by seismic charges, cracking the ground beneath them, toppling buildings and revealing new areas below.
For Downtown, the streets have been uprooted and various buildings are nothing more than rubble on the ground. What’s left untouched is still devastated by the impact, so be sure to watch your foot.
Meanwhile, Stadium is no longer in one piece. The place has been torn to pieces with a brand new opening now accessible thanks to the explosion.
New WWII bunkers under Verdansk
As for newcomers to the map, three bunkers dating from WWII are now accessible. These can be found near the POI Boneyard, north of the airport and near the speed camera network. You’ll have to zipline underground to get in, but once you do, expect to see a lot of high-level loot.
Keep an eye out for nearby teams, as these new points of interest are sure to be hot spots for the duration of Warzone Season 6.
The original gulag returns in season 6 of Warzone
Closing the map changes in Season 6, Warzone has just undergone a major rollback. The very first Gulag provision is now back in effect with a slight change.
It’s not exactly the same as when Warzone first launched, but it’s close enough to still capture that original magic. It copies the layout of the Gulag map from Modern Warfare, so experienced players will feel right at home again.
