Warzone update leads to speculation about dynamic weather systems

Streamer Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff has revealed his theory on how Warzone Season 2 teasers could lead to the destruction of Verdansk.

Almost all battle royale games on the market have multiple cards. Fortnite has moved on to a brand new map for Chapter 2, and Apex Legends revolves around multiple maps that undergo significant changes every season.

Renaissance Island was added to Warzone in December, but this smaller map wasn’t designed to replace the full-scale battle royale action of Verdansk.

For months now, Call of Duty: Warzone players have been eagerly awaiting a new full-scale map, and after Season 2 teasers in Verdansk, NICKMERCS has a theory on how it’s going to play out.

Warzone Zombie Royale

Warzone Season 1 ends on February 24 and the season 2 teasers are spotted in Verdansk. Lightning appeared in the sky and strange machines asking players to “activate the zombies” were found in the hospital and stadium.

The zombies came to Verdansk for last year’s Halloween event, and it looks like they should be back soon. While the machines asking players to “activate the zombies” aren’t doing anything yet, NICKMERCS believes they will be the key to Warzone’s progress to a new map.

Ever since secret bunkers containing nuclear bombs began to appear in Warzone, “there’s always a conversation about a big nuclear bomb hitting the map.” As NICKMERCS explains, a zombie outbreak would be the perfect reason to bomb Verdansk.

“Takeover of the zombies, we drop nuclear, blow up the map and we go elsewhere.”

With players anticipating an in-game event to kick off Season 2, escaping a zombie infested Verdansk before it’s bombarded, sounds both very plausible and exciting at the same time.

It is almost confirmed that after Verdansk Warzone will move to the Ural Mountains. This location is the Fireteam map from Black Ops Cold War: Dirty Bomb (as Verdansk was for Modern Warfare’s Ground War) and was mentioned in the post-credits scene for Firebase Z Easter Egg.

As Season 2 draws near, expect more teasers and Easter eggs to be discovered around the Warzone map.
