The fight between Jorge Masvidal and Ben Askren was decided in the blink of an eye, but the trashy conversation between UFC welterweight contenders shows no signs of slowing down.
Askren did a good job managing the fallout from his five-second record loss against Masvidal last weekend at UFC 239, using humor to avoid defeat and get noticed by the media.
After mostly keeping his mouth shut during the fight, Masvidal takes every opportunity to pour salt into the wound now that he has answered Askren in the cage.
It was so when Askren jumped on Twitter on Friday.
Masvidal, for his part, lost a little time answering.
For which Askren attempted a return on his own.
If nothing else, Askren had sympathy from those who were in position. Like Joe Lauzon, who suffered a quick header against Anthony Pettis at UFC 144 in 2012.
Anyway, that's what's happening right now. We are sure it will not be the last time we hear these two people.
