Ereck Flowers was not very successful as a left or right tackle for the Giants and one of their NFC East rivals would change position for the 2019 season.

John Keim of ESPN.com reports that Washington will be handing flowers to the guard. Flowers signed a $ 4 million, one-year contract with the team on Monday.

With Brandon Scherff at the right guard, Flowers will likely go into the mix of options left guard. Shawn Lauvao, Jonathan Cooper, Luke Bowanko, Chase Roullier and Ty Nsekhe have all seen the past there last season, but Roullier is now in the center while Nsekhe has signed with Buffalo and the others are free agents.

Keim adds that we also expect Flowers to get some work, while Geron Christian will recover from a knee injury. Christian is the latest addition to left tackle Trent Williams and right tackle Morgan Moses.
