Adam Lambert embraces his freedom in the new title "Superpower" from the album "Velvet: Side A", released today.

Produced by Tommy English (BØRNS), the finalist of the "American Idol" season 8 takes bright colors in the song, with lyrics such as: "Try to put me in a box / Make me something that I'm not Do not give af – k because I will recover my superpower. The piece was written by Ilsey, Lambert and English and also includes voices from Alisan Porter, winner of Season 10 of NBC's "The Voice".

Addressing Capital Breakfast, British radio program, Lambert told host Roman Kemp that he had been inspired by the writing of the song: "There are a lot of things going on crazy in the world right now. I think there are many groups of people discriminated against or ostracized. "

The official video of the song shows Lambert in a variety of outfits ranging from bright green (with matching eyeshadow) to vibrant blues and Elton John-inspired tints. While he struts to the beat of the clip directed by Millicent Hailes, Lambert is surrounded by equally icy dancers and attacking characters from a funky superhero wearing velvet. Presenting his trademark falsetto, he sings: "Do you want to be free?"

Lambert had previously announced the release of the first half of "Velvet" on September 7th. He created a title, "New Eyes," earlier this year on "American Idol," as well as two other songs: "Comin 'In Hot" and "Feel Something," published after the opening of the Academy Awards 2019 by Lambert and Queen.

It is expected that it will occur on September 28 at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park on September 28th. In addition, Lambert will perform as a tribute to the late Avicii in Stockholm, Sweden on December 8th.
