Since the world lost Steve Irwin in 2006, we have watched with joy as his family continue to carry on the incredible legacy of wildlife conservation he left behind. Her children Bindi and Robert Irwin took on bigger roles as they grew older alongside their mother Terri at their famous Australian zoo. Fans can get a glimpse of the incredible work the Irwin family does on their show on a daily basis Crikey! Lucky for us, we’ve finally gotten a glimpse of what’s to come for the February premiere – and between revealing Bindi’s pregnancy and her tearful tribute to late dad Steve, we feel moved.

“2020 has been a hurricane for all of us,” Bindi says at the start of the music video, via People. Due to the pandemic, their beloved zoo has been forced to close, which Terri admits to be the biggest challenge their family has faced since her husband’s death.
“We try to stay positive and hopeful like everything is going to be okay, but I really want us to be open,” Bindi said on camera.
At one point in the clip, the screen displays a speech Bindi gives as she holds back tears: “We will continue to follow in Daddy’s footsteps and make sure all that he lived and died for continues.” . “

Bindi has kept the memory of her father alive in everything she does, from her social media posts to her passion for wildlife – so it only makes sense that she feels most connected to her father when ‘she rubs shoulders with the animals he loved so much. Fortunately, her family shares her passion and supports her every step of the way.
At the end of the clip, we hear Bindi happily announcing her pregnancy to her family alongside her husband Chandler Powell, and hear her mother say that Steve “would be proud that we survived this”.
We totally agree that Steve would be so proud of his strong family and we can’t wait to see the healthy content the Irwins share with us this season!
