New York Comic Con is back and coming hot with a preview of the long-awaited next season of Strange things. During the David Harbor Spotlight panel, David Harbor, who plays Jim Hopper in the Netflix series, spoke about his character evolution and his enthusiasm for Hopper’s next phase. During the third season of Strange things, Harbor described how “a lot of people have had mixed reactions to [Hopper having] a little bit of toxic masculinity to him ”and how that was an ’80s trope the show played with. As for a glimpse into Hopper’s future, Harbor spoke about his new hairstyle and that “even [with] that embryonic haircut that [Harbour has], there is a rebirth in [Hopper] this season and come to terms with this toxicity that he carries and this trauma, really, where he’s coming from, and he’s struggling with that. Netflix unveiled its third preview of the new season two weeks ago, but did not specify a 2022 premiere date.
