Watch Dogs: Legion Xbox Series X autosave bug fixed in early December

[ad_1]

Watch Dogs: Legion has a widespread issue where autosave simply stops working on Xbox Series X – an issue Ubisoft is now aware of and will release a fix in early December. report that hours of progress may be lost after autosave apparently stops working or ignores recent checkpoints. This is a particularly serious issue given that Legion does not allow manual recording, and console versions only have one autosave slot.

The issue appears to only affect the Series X version of the game, with several players reporting the issue on the Ubisoft forums, Twitter, and in emails to IGN.I ran into the issue myself – after playing all of Legion on Xbox One with no save issues, I moved on to the Series X in its final stages. Auto-save has stopped working since the start of the final campaign mission and about an hour after the match. When I reloaded, my character was about to start the final mission over again, meaning that about an hour and a half progress was lost.

Without a clear cause of the problem, there is no noticeable workaround, which means that playing the game on the X Series currently comes with an inherent risk of losing progress. Ubisoft has now started advising players that it is aware of the issue and that a fix will arrive “early December”

It seems the best course of action, right now, is to play the game in an alternate format if possible – which is at least made a little easier by Ubisoft Connect’s cross-platform progression. We gave Watch Dogs: Legion a rating of 8/10, saying that “the daring use of roguelike mechanics in an open world action game is paying off in interesting ways, which makes this visit into the near future. of London more varied than the two previous games “.
