Facebook The annual developer conference begins today. The keynote speech will begin at 1 pm / 10 am with the opening statement by Facebook leader Mark Zuckerberg. As in years past, the event will last several hours and will include updates from various Facebook departments.
This year's event comes as Facebook attempts an ambitious transition to a privacy-focused messaging platform. This is a difficult sell considering the recent history of the company and the fact that the consumer base is sinking deeper and deeper into Facebook's data collection methods. But the show must continue.
