Giannis Antetokounmpo is having an unforgettable time. The 26-year-old superstar won his first championship and MVP of the finals on Tuesday, and he’s embracing every second of his newfound status. Tuesday night he celebrated with his teammates, but on Wednesday he was a little more laid back. The emphasis is on “a little”, as very little of what he filmed himself doing could be described as “casual”.

Antetokounmpo decided to drive towards a Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday with a few souvenirs: the Larry O’Brien trophy and the MVP trophy of the final. He explained the decision on Instagram Live.

“I was supposed to be in Vegas right now partying, but I’m here ordering Chick-fil-A.” said Antetokounmpo. “These trophies don’t leave my sight. What if all of a sudden I wake up and it’s all just a dream? These trophies are my safety, basically. Like I touched them and I knew that it was real. “

They’re real, and even Chick-fil-A employees should know that. When Antetokounmpo placed his order, he was extremely precise. He ordered exactly 50 mini chickens. “Not 51, not 49, mini chicken, 50.”

Antetokounmpo scored 50 points in Game 6, tying him to Bob Pettit for the NBA record in a championship game, so apparently he eats a mini chicken for every point he has scored. It’s not exactly healthy, but very little of what Antetokounmpo has done since winning the title could be described as such. In that same Instagram Live video, he revealed that he has yet to sleep after winning it all.

Antetokounmpo is so deprived of sleep that in this latest video he forgot for a moment which trophy the Larry O’Brien trophy was. He can be forgiven for it. Players don’t often win championships, so when they do, they deserve a free license to celebrate as much as they want.
