Kacey Musgraves was the musical guest of Saturday Night Live this week the premiere of the show’s 47th season. She performed “Justified” and “Camera Roll” from her new album damn, and fellow Texan Owen Wilson hosted the episode. During “Justified,” Musgraves wore cowboy boots and appeared naked behind his acoustic guitar. She later tweeted a pic of Robin Wright doing the same as Jenny in Forrest Gump. In addition to the songs, Musgraves released damn with a visual companion on Paramount +. She will tour the United States to support the record early next year. Halsey should appear on SNL with Kim Kardashian West next week, followed by performances by Young Thug and Brandi Carlile later this fall. The Weekend Update segment of the premiere ended with a brief recap of the jokes of Weekend Update alumnus Norm Macdonald, who passed away suddenly in September.
