The brand new OG American Idol talk show, Kelly Clarkson's showradiates joy from your screen like vitamin D from the sun. Even though the biggest part of a TV show I've seen in the last year is this clip from The Ellen Show where she asks her questions "dudes", I'm officially stanning Kelly Clarkson's show. Each episode begins with a different "Kellyoke", where it covers a popular song. For example, the first one was "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, with a montage of Kelly working in different professions. and an introduction by Steve Carell. The second episode featured Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" on a cover that would be unrecognizable if it was not such an iconic song. The sleek version of Kelly drops the synth voice (again, iconic, do not come to me, stans!) And turns it into headbanger of the 1980s. Simply: it tears. Kellyoke rocks. If we do not get a Kellyoke soundtrack, NBC will hear from me and my lawyers. More Kellyoke, directly in my blood, please!
