Lady Gaga performed the national anthem with enthusiasm on Wednesday at Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.

The singer, née Stefani Germanotta, received applause from the crowd outside the US Capitol as she wrapped up her performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

The inauguration wasn’t the first time Gaga performed the national anthem on a big stage: she had already sung the anthem before Super Bowl 50 in 2016 between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Gaga’s performance was the first of several scheduled performances at the inauguration, with Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks set to follow with performances later in the ceremony. A poetry reading by Amanda Gorman is also on the program of the ceremony.

In the evening, several networks will also broadcast a television special “Celebrating America” from 8:30 pm to 10 pm. Hosted by Tom Hanks, the special will feature performances by Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, John Legend, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen and more.
