The Emmy-winning series will return for its eighth season on Sunday, February 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET / PT on HBO and HBO Max. Watch the season eight trailer above.

As the country navigates the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and a new administration in the White House, the eighth season of the series promises to spotlight the latest developments in Washington as well as less reported events. The series includes a mix of sharp commentary from the series, prerecorded pieces, and the occasional special guest.
Last week tonight has received 20 Emmys since its inception in 2014. The seventh season has won four Emmys, including the Outstanding Variety Talk series as well as Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, both for the fifth consecutive year. The series also received two Peabody Awards, a Critics Choice Award in the Best Talk Show category, two GLAAD Media Awards, four Writers Guild Awards and four consecutive PGA Awards.
