The Virtual Democratic National Convention kicked off tonight and will run through the week. The first evening, hosted by Eva Longoria, featured speeches by Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama. It also included performances by Leon Bridges and Maggie Rogers. Bridges performed his new song “Sweeter” alongside Terrace Martin. Rogers performed “Back in My Body”. The evening also featured the unveiling of a new video package with the soundtrack to “The Rising” by Bruce Springsteen. Check it out below. Other performers at the convention this week include Billie Eilish, the Chicks, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Common and Stephen Stills. The convention will lead Vice President Joe Biden to formally accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. Biden recently selected Senator Kamala Harris as his vice presidential candidate.
