Metallica returned to the stage on Sunday night for a performance of their 1991 classic song “Enter Sandman” for the Last showSuper Bowl special. Shot in the group’s storage facilities, the video shows equipment and speakers from their entire career.
Despite being a victim of Covid-19 in 2020, Metallica has had a pretty busy year. The performance follows a charity Helping Hands Concert & Auction livestream late last year in which Metallica performed acoustic renditions of “Blackened” and “Now That You’re Dead,” as well as “Nothing Else. Matters, ”“ The Unforgiven, ”and an“ Everything in my hands ”. They also performed the national anthem at a San Francisco Giants game in September, released a newly filmed concert they showed in theaters, and abandoned their S and M2 album.
The band are currently working on a 2016 follow-up album.
