Paul McCartney has released a music video for “Find My Way”, the first single from his new McCartney III album.
The rambunctious track finds Sir Paul singing atop an upbeat drum and guitar groove, with layers of horns, vocal harmonies and percussion highlighting various points of the melody. The lyrics evoke the strange experience of living until 2020, as McCartney sings: “You were never afraid of days like these / And now you are overwhelmed with your anxieties / Let me help you, let me be your guide / I can help you reach the love you feel there ‘inside. “
Meanwhile, the video sees McCartney in his home studio recording every element of the track. The clip features the Beatles icon singing, strumming the guitar, playing the piano and setting a beat behind the drums.

McCartney started hinting at a new album in mid-October, when video teasers and cryptic images started appearing on social media, all pointing to number three. McCartney III is the rocker’s third real solo album, after the 1970s McCartney and 80s McCartney II, on which he managed all the singing and instrumental parts himself.
Although the new version came as a surprise to many fans, the former Beatle hinted at new elements in an interview with GQ. “I am terribly sorry for all of those less fortunate and obviously all of those who have lost loved ones, but I have been lucky,” said McCartney while discussing the COVID-19 pandemic. “I was able to write and get into music, start songs, finish songs. I had a few little things to write and it gave me time to finish songs that I hadn’t found the time to move to, you know? I recorded with a lot of hand wipes and sanitizer and social distancing which was good because I don’t like not working. “
Despite the pandemic, McCartney has had a busy 2020. In addition to his new material, the rocker adapts his children’s book High in the clouds into an animated film for Netflix. A special 1997 reissue Flamboyant pie and a limited edition of the 50th anniversary of McCartney came out earlier this year.
