February 27 is Pokemon Day, marking the 25th anniversary of Pokemon Red and Green’s release in Japan, and rapper Post Malone is headlining a virtual concert to mark the anniversary. It starts at 4 p.m. PT Saturday (7 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. Sunday GMT / 10 a.m. Sunday AEST) and is embedded above. We had a taste on Thursday, with Malone blanket from Hootie and the ’90s classic from Blowfish, Only Wanna Be With You.
If YouTube isn’t your first choice for a virtual concert venue, the concert will also be streamed live on Twitch. The official Pokemon website will also show the concert. Katy Perry to join another “P25” musical event.
The Pokemon Company also revealed some major new games for Nintendo Switch in a livestream on Friday: Pokemon Shiny Diamond and Shiny Pearl are coming out later this year, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus arrives in early 2022. New Pokemon Snap, which will be released on April 30, has also received a new trailer.
