It is even rarer to see a positional player throw this pitch perfectly during a match. But in Saturday’s game between the Oakland Athletics and the Texas Rangers, fans saw absolute beauty from Rangers infielder Brock Holt.
As the As led Rangers 12-3 in the eighth inning on Saturday, the Rangers turned to Holt with the game going out of hand. Holt ended up throwing an eephus pitch at 31 mph for a perfect shot to A hitter Josh Harrison.

It happened on the first pitch Holt threw and it was only his third career appearance on the mound since entering the majors in 2012. It was an absolutely breathtaking throw to watch as the ball came out. of the camera frame of the show due to the high arc.

Holt pitched a full inning scoreless and allowed only one hit during the frame. Considering Holt had a career 13.50 ERA at the start of the game, this was all pretty impressive.
