Chicago, Illinois – Facing a total of points with two outs and the Chicago Cubs away from the Los Angeles Angels by a point in the ninth end, the Cubs are supporters in left field. Kyle Schwarber tried to check his momentum on what would have been ball four to load the bases. However, the referee of the third goal did not let Schwarber deviate from what was very tight and ruled that he would go around for the third and final end of the match.
Schwarber seemed to have maybe swung the bat right in front of him, which is enough to be considered a swing, but it was certainly a call that could have gone one way or the other. Whatever the case may be, Schwarber assumed that he had held out and started to remove his baseball equipment before heading to the first goal. Much to Schwarber's dismay, the third base umpire took things in hand and called Schwarber to give the Angels a 6-5 win.
From there, the situation worsens, with Schwarber with gentle manners who screams obscenities at the referee, who, despite the end of the match, expels Schwarber from the fight. Several Cubs had to hold Schwarber back and calm him down while he was trying to confront the referee for what he perceived as a bad choice. Schwarber was probably also upset by the end of the resumed ninth round for the Cubs, which ended up with something as deflated as a sure blow in check, which led to an unsatisfactory end for a otherwise exciting match.
