Happy New Year! 2020 is behind us, which means this week has seen a lot of funny posts from celebrities celebrating the New Year. One of those stars is Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock. Johnson has made plenty of posts this holiday season, ranging from donating a Ford F-150 to a longtime WWE employee to singing happy tunes as “Dwanta”. It looks like Christmas wasn’t the last time Johnson decided to sing for the holidays. The actor also took to Instagram to perform the New Year’s Eve classic, “Auld Lang Syne,” in honor of 2021.

“BRING 2021 🍾 Pssst hey 2020 … f * ck off,” Johnson wrote in the caption. “But THANK YOU 2020 for the invaluable lessons we will take with us for the rest of our lives. To be grateful. To be PRESENT. To be the HARDEST WORKERS OF THE HOUSE. To be the MOST INTELLIGENT WORKERS OF THE HOUSE so that our goals are met. We won’t always be the best at everything we do – but we will ALWAYS run across the line with ALL. F * CKING. THING. US. GOT … and it’s the soul that made us all CHAMPIONS. I love you guys and I am focused and determined to help us all live the best life possible right now. All of us. My. PASSION. Thanks 2020 for the lessons. Nice to see you 2021, we ‘I waited for you … let’s dance. “

The Rock starts singing the song before saying, “Record scratch …. release the f * ck by 2020.” The actor adds: “It’s so good to have 2020 behind us.” The Rock goes on to say that we all feel like we’ve waited ‘forever’ for 2021. “Now we’re moving forward. Like many of you, all of you I’m sure, all of you girls and guys all over the world did all you could do, and trust me i was there with you. ”The video is about eight minutes long, but it ends with the message“ Play with healthy positive energy ” .

Johnson has many exciting projects in the works, including Disney Jungle cruise alongside Emily Blunt. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters this year, but has been postponed until next summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. Johnson also has Netflix Red Notice, who recently completed filming. The film is an action / comedy / thriller that will star Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

Johnson will also make his DC debut in Black adam, which is expected to start production soon. It was recently revealed that Seven Bucks Productions will be restarting The Scorpion King, which marked Johnson’s first leading role in Hollywood.

Happy Holidays, Dwayne!
