For more than a decade, there has been talk of turning the delightfully salacious autobiography of Motley Crue, "Dirt: The Confessions of the World's Most Famous Rock Band" into a film.

Over the years, MTV Films' companies to Focus Features have taken over the rights to the film, but it is only Netflix has bought back global rights in 2017 for "The Dirt" to be saved from development purgatory.

The long-awaited rock documentary, which began shooting a year ago in New Orleans, will arrive on Netflix on March 22nd.

The film stars Douglas Booth in bassist Nikki Sixx, Daniel Webber in singer Vince Neil, Iwan Rheon in guitarist Mick Mars and Machine Gun Kelly in the role of Tommy Lee.
