A police son from Delhi, who was seen severely beating a woman in a viral video, was arrested. The case against the young, son of an assistant police sub-inspector of Delhi, was filed after another girl, who alleged to have been harassed and threatened by him and his father , had shared the video of the assault. The youth was charged with rape according to ANI. The girl seen targeted in the viral video later filed a lawsuit against him at the Uttam Nagar police station. The police registered a case under preventive provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure and arrested him. However, since the disposition was available, he was released later. Interior Minister Rajnath Singh also went on Twitter to ask Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to take the necessary action.
