We finally get a good look at Hailee Steinfeld as Marvel’s new Hawkeye

Although it is not yet official that Hailee Steinfeld will play Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Disney Plus Hawkeye Series, new overall photos, but confirm that it is her.

XRealm Matthews tweeted On Wednesday, a series of pretty high-res images of the set, featuring Steinfeld in Bishop’s signature purple. She also holds a bow, which just might give it away.

The photos are dated December 2, apparently from a Brooklyn subway. Thanks to a not-so-clear video and footage (both via Murphy’s Multiverse), we already knew filming was underway.

Jeremy Renner, aka the original Hawkeye from The Avengers movies, confirmed the shoot with a snap of his chair labeled Clint Barton on set. “Mrs. Bishop … we need you!” he posted on Instagram on Wednesday.

But we all know Lucky the Pizza Dog is the real star of the show. He’s there in the footage, pulling Steinfeld by his leash.

Who is Pizza Dog? Pizza Dog is a comic book character, first appearing when Clint Barton saves him. The Good Boy’s tags reveal that his name is Arrow, but Clint renames him Lucky. An issue entirely devoted to Lucky’s point of view reveals that he calls himself Pizza Dog, simply because of his love for a slice of New York City.

Add Pizza Dog to the list of the greatest Marvel characters you’ve never heard of. He was revealed to be on the show via concept art for a 12-minute Disney Plus featurette called Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe, released in mid-November.

If you weren’t excited about the new series, which is set to arrive on Disney Plus at the end of 2021, an adorable puppy should be a drawing card. Otherwise, tune in to see Kate Bishop take over from Hawkeye under the tutoring of Master Archer Clint Barton.
