‘We just heard his cries’

In October, TikTok user @mountaindewbarrymore asked a question that inspired a whole TikTok trend. This question was: “What was your unsupervised childhood activity that certainly should have killed you?”

To kick things off, @mountaindewbarrymore shared her own heartbreaking story of childhood trauma. Apparently she used to run baths and then “try to breathe underwater” by putting a washcloth on the surface of the bathwater, thinking it would trap the air.

“The washcloth would just get wet and put me in the water,” @mountaindewbarrymore explained, exasperated.

An agonizing number of other users had their own dangerous childhood activities to share.

In her own video, user @ vududoll999 said that as children, she and her siblings would put their brother in the dryer. and start it.

“My younger brother on my mom’s side is the youngest and we all hate him with a passion,” she explained. “He’s the favorite f ******. So we used to put his a ** in the dryer and hit start and let it run for probably a good 15 seconds. And we just listened to his screams and his terror.

This one in particular had people a little more worried, many noting that it was “really so sad” and “not funny”. However, in another video, her brother willingly walks into the dryer for the good old days, so it looks like there is no bad blood.

Emily Marie, another TikTok user, said that as a child she “would take [different] things like forks, butter knives, etc. and … glue them [outlets]To be shocked. “Explain everything,” she joked.

Someone else – user @ n0tmarissa – revealed that she used to eat foamed peanuts.

Yet another daredevil admitted in comments to @ mountaindewbarrymore’s original video that they used to eat peanuts as children, even though they are allergic to death.

Kids do the most horrible things!
