As the second Coachella 2019 weekend ends, the first weekend has already broken a record for the famous festival.

YouTube, which holds the exclusive rights to broadcast live from the meeting in Indio, California, reports that the first Coachella weekend broke its own live broadcast record, doubling the number of its views by compared to last year. In total, Coachella has recorded 89.2 million live viewers, the largest number of viewers since YouTube began streaming in 2011, representing a 90% growth. Of all the acts performed at Coachella, only about 70 have broadcast their performances.

This year's lineup was a thick mix of Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Tame Impala headliners, who played over the two weekends, including Tierra Whack, Smino, YG, Jaden Smith, Little Simz, The 1975, Janelle Monae, T Pusha, Kid Cudi and Murda. Beatz, and even a live Sunday service offered by Kanye West.

This year, Coachella has reversed the trend live, driving viewers into the Yuma tent during weekend 2 for the very first time. Yuma is the chosen destination for DJ concerts which, this year, included ensembles of Idris Elba, Nicole Moudaber and Deep Dish, among others. In addition, the specially organized content included interviews conducted by Miquela, Instagram's virtual personality.

Ariana Grande will close this year's festivities with her second race leading the way Sunday night on the Empire Polo Grounds.
