Weezer’s new album ‘OK Human’ releases January 29

Since their “Africa”-linked resurgence in the late 2010s, Weezer has teased a pair of new albums. We learned for the first time OK Human, which Rivers Cuomo teased as a piano project recorded without a click track, with string parts recorded at Abbey Road. Later they announced the hard-rock oriented At Weezer, which has since spawned three singles: “The End Of The Game”, “Hero” and “Beginning Of The End”. At Weezer was also the first of the pair to get a release date. But it turns out OK Human comes first – like next week.

After an online teaser campaign today that resulted in Weezer fans completing captchas and scrambling to convert binary code to text, the band came out and said: OK Human is released on January 29, preceded by the opening track and first single “All My Favorite Songs” this Thursday. Notably, last week, the band shared a playlist called “All My Favorite Songs” featuring tracks from Neil Young, REO Speedwagon, Johnny Cash, Toni Braxton, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Celine Dion and Sinéad O’Connor.

The group also confirms that At Weezer still out on May 7th. So: two Weezer albums in a little over three months, and neither of them is a cover album. Check out the OK Human tracklist below.
