Wendy Williams is still delaying her show’s return after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Instagram account of “The Wendy Williams Show” reported on Wednesday that the daytime host, 57, was grappling with a “groundbreaking case of COVID-19.”
“While continuing her health assessments, Wendy tested positive for a groundbreaking case of COVID-19,” the statement began.
“To give Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure our production meets all SAG / AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we plan to begin Season 13 of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on Monday 4th. October.”

The show will be broadcast on a loop in the interim.
The announcement comes after Williams had to withdraw from promotional activities due to “ongoing health issues” that required “further assessments.”
Following the news of Williams’ health issues, a source told Page Six exclusively that she likely won’t be attending the show’s premiere.
“People are being quiet about it, but there are rumors that she won’t be there,” the source explained.

In a conversation with Dr Oz in March, Williams expressed reluctance to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Several doctors on my team said to me, ‘Wendy, get your flu shot.’ I have never had the flu I do not get the flu shot I very rarely have a cold I never have a headache I do not take aspirin because I can feel my heart huff or something.
