It was announced Thursday on the show’s verified Instagram account that “Wendy will not be returning with new shows on October 4.”
“She has been and continues to be treated by a doctor and is still not ready to return to work,” the note said. “We plan to return with new shows on October 18th.
It was announced earlier this month that production of “The Wendy Williams Show” had been delayed as she recovered from a groundbreaking case of Covid-19.
“To give Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure our production fully adheres to SAG / AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we plan to begin season 13 of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday October 4th.” , indicates the announcement. “In the meantime, covers will be scheduled.”
A case is described as a ‘breakthrough’ when a person is fully vaccinated but is still infected with Covid-19.
Williams has previously shared that she suffers from Graves’ disease and last year she took a hiatus from production due to her condition.
