Daytime TV mainstay Wendy Williams has tested positive for COVID-19 in what an official statement describes as a “breakthrough case.” A statement posted on The Wendy Williams Show The Instagram account wrote that in order to give Williams time to self-quarantine and recover and adhere to production labor laws, “we plan to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show Monday, October 4. This date sets the new season back two weeks from the originally announced premiere date of September 20.
Last week, the show’s Instagram account released a statement saying “Wendy is struggling with ongoing health issues and is undergoing further assessments.” Today’s statement clarified that she was “continuing her health assessments.” Get well soon, now come now.
