A screengrab of the video is available below.
The Vampire Weekend group briefly stopped the traffic at Zabar earlier this year to film a video clip. Now, the fruits of these works are visible and they are … rather amusing! We shot on video at the time it was filmed, an event that upset some people who were trying to buy a dinner.
Actor Jonah Hill directed the video for "Sunflower," the new song of Vampire Weekend, a group born in Columbia University and having a particular affinity for the Upper West Side (they even writes a song called M79).
In Sunflower's video, which you can watch below, singer Ezra Koenig and others hang out behind the counter at Zabar's and in the Barney Greengrass coffee section. The video continues to rotate so try to keep your lunch. Seinfeld grimaces and then some kind of joke (?) In the end about lox? Anyway, it's worth it to listen!
